They work by immobilizing the sliding panel. Our locks typically engage in one of two ways:

1. Vertical Bolt Action: A hardened steel bolt rises from the lock body into a strike on the door frame, physically blocking upward movement (anti-lift).
2. Horizontal Hook/Bar Action: A hardened hook or bar extends from the sliding panel to securely latch into a receiver on the fixed panel or floor track, preventing the door from sliding or being pried open.

Zinc alloy and aluminum alloy are commonly used materials. For outdoor patio doors, adding an electroplated layer to the surface provides better corrosion resistance.

Our locks are built for exterior duty. The housing is typicallymarine-grade aluminum or zinc alloy with a corrosion-resistant powder coat. Internal springs and components arestainless steelto prevent rust. The finish is tested forsalt spray (fog) resistanceto withstand coastal environments.

We offer the most common architectural finishes, includingWhite, Satin Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and Matte Black. Custom color matching may be available for large project volumes.
